欢迎光临寒舍!Welcome to my humble home!
I am so happy to show my home to all of you, and of course show it in Chinese as well.
DISCLAIMER: *I am not trying to brag about my home and what I own. Everything is bought with my own money that I have worked for at the job I have during breaks from school. I am showing you my home because I think personally it is very interesting to se someone else's home. So I thought I would show you mine since I know more people are curious like me.*
NOTE: No video due to me not liking how the clips turned out when I put it on my pc. But I have done so much for this uploading, so I wanted to post this blog post about it.
There, now I got the disclaimer out of the way, let's take a look at my apartment.
So first let's start in the 走廊 zǒu láng (Hallway), and this is my 门 mén (door), nothing on it, just a simple 门 (door). It is heavy to push open though, so get some strength training there. I do have a small 门垫 mén diàn (door mate) next to it. I have another mate thingy on the side. It is from Ikea, and it is used to put wet shoes on so it dries on there and the floor will not get very wet and sometimes even ruined depending on the type of floor. Above it I have a 墙衣帽架 qiáng yī mào jià (coat rack). I have some of my most used outer clothes hanging here like a fluffy jacket, winter coat, rain coat, all-weather jacket, scarf, gloves, etc. And below further in my 走廊 (hallway) is a 鞋架 xié jià (shoe rack). I can sit on top of it and it has 2 shelves under, and then under it on the floor I keep slippers because it fits very well under.
Then if you turn around, I have a random ass 手提箱 shǒutí xiāng (suitcase) here. It has my off-season clothes, and I did not want to go to the basement with it, so it is just here. It is getting slowly warmer so hopefully I can use them again soon. And then I have the Ikea 4x4 书橱 shū chú (book shelf). I have a few of the rooms in the shelf for fictional fun books, language learning books like Chinese and Korean ones, instruction manuals, baskets with more outer wear stuff like scarf, gloves, knitted socks, beenies, etc. And on top of it, it has some bucket hats, Berets, caps, sun glasses, story book from Inspire me Korea, and an old year calender.
So when you enter my 卫生间 wèi shēng jiān (bathroom) you can see some 橱架 chú jià (shelf) on the wall. I only have things on the bottom one. So I have some perfumes, a basket with medicine, a makeup palette organiser were I have most of my perfumes stored, nail polish, a cream, vitamin gummy bears, and then another makeup organiser with random tools, measuring tape, and samples on the inside and a box with hair ties and my medicine box on top. And last, next to it has a spray bottle with water and my toothbrush box. Under the 橱架 (shelf) I have a rack with a towel on and a 暖气机 nuǎn qì jī (heater) that actually work luckily, because my last one did not. Next to the 暖气机 (heater) is a 抽屉 chōutì (drawers), top drawer has random stuff, middle one has period stuff and a basket with empty bottles, and the bottom one has all my electrical tools like hair dryer, curler, straighter, etc. Then I have my very basic 马桶 mǎ tǒng (toilet) and some 卫生纸 wèi shēng zhǐ in the 窗子 chuāng zi (window). Right next to my 马桶 (toilet) is the 水池 shuǐchi (sink) and 镜子 jìng zi (mirror). I have some of my everyday products here. And on the side hanging is my everyday skincare products. And then under the 水池 (sink) is a 柜子 guì zi (cabinet) and in here is my backup skincare, haircare and also my cleaning supplies in the top shelf, and the bottom one has towels and cloths. And on the floor is a 淋浴垫 lín yù diàn (shower mat). And then of course, last thing here is the 淋浴器 lín yù qì (shower). Well, the last last thing is on the door, and it is another 墙衣帽架 (coat rack) with towels and a basket hanger with random stuff.
So my 厨房 chúfáng (kitchen) and 客厅 kètīng (living room) is one room, but I try to have one on one side of the room and the other on another side. But in the 厨房 (kitchen) part, I firstly have a Ikea work bench that I use as more 厨房台面 chúfáng tái miàn (kitchen countertop) because as you maybe see the 厨房台面 (countertop) that came with the apartment is basically non-existent. So I needed more, and it has more shelves under which means more storage space. I have my set of knives on top so it is easy to just take one and cut up food, a little basket on the side with my keys and other random side, and a fruit plate which has fruit in the picture, but not in the video because I bought it after. I also have some cute flower decor that light up. The top shelf has some kitchen machines, and a box with reusable bags. And the bottom one has 3 boxes with trash sorting, and more trash sorting between the counter and the book shelf. On the small wall I have a big 冰箱 bīng xiāng (fridge) (do not ask why, it was here when I moved in), an 烤箱 kǎo xiāng (oven), another 水池 (sink), and the non-existent 厨房台面 (countertop). Under sink I have more trash and my casseroles. In my 烤箱 (oven) I have my frying pans, and the last is some 抽屉 (drawers) with kitchen tools. Top one has all my drink stuff like tea and coffee. And then some 柜子 (cabinets) above, one which has my dry food, one which has my other kitchen stuff like plates, bowls, cups, etc. and the last one over my 烤箱 (oven) which has my spices. And because there is no space on that side, so I put my 冷冻机 lěng dòng jī (freezer).
Then my 客厅 (living room) part, which have a 桌子 zhuō zi (table), a 沙发 shā fā (sofa) which is actually a bed, under that is a 地毯 dìtǎn (carpet), a 落地灯 luò dì dēng (lamp). Then on the other side I have a 电视 diànshì (TV) and a 书桌 shū zhuō ( desk) as a 电视桌子 (TV table). Very simple.
So, when you first walk in to my 卧室 wò shì (bedroom) you can see my 床 chuáng (bed). It is perfectly places were I can easily walk in and drop down on it. Then on the other wall next to the door is my 衣柜 yī guì (closet). And you can see in one of the photos that I have hung up my hoodies and the reason is I use them the most, so it is nice to display them better. And laying down in the shelves are things like pants, sweaters, some jackets, onesies, etc. on the top shelf I have a basket with bags, another one with dresses, extra sheets, and a purse as a tool box because why not. And lastly under my hoodies is the same drawer set as in the bathroom and it has socks and bras, next to it is a laundry basket and my yoga mat.
Then next to my 衣柜 (closet) is my big new 书桌 (desk) which I edit videos at, play games, and other stuff that you do at a desk. On it I have some storage, my TV, my PC, a cork board, and 2 baskets, one with books and one with random stuff. And of course with the desk I have another 抽屉 (drawer) to have desk related things there, and a 椅子 yī zi (chair). And if you have seen my other videos, you know what the next thing is. It is where I store my makeup. So another 抽屉 (drawers), which on top I have my makeup (in the video it is in a makeup bag and the picture is on the organiser) and my makeup brushes. Next is my 五斗柜 wǔ dǒu guì (dresser), which on top is my cameras (DSLR and Polaroid), another makeup organiser with jewelry, I have a candle on top of the 五斗柜 (dresser), basket with random stuff, and 2 boxes with some stuff in them. Inside the 五斗柜 (dresser), the top drawer has workout clothes, the middle one has tops and t-shirts, and bottom one has pyjamas.
Then I have an expensive as frick clothing hanger (which is what I use it for at least) is my 椭圆机 tǒuyuán jī (elliptical machine), I need to use it more, but it is not the same when you use it at home as you do in a gym. And last thing is my 百叶窗 bǎi yé chuāng (night stand). On the top I have an iPad, alarm clock, picture of Yoshi, and other random stuff. Top drawer also has random stuff, and bottom drawer is my underwear (which I will not show). And another carpet beside my bed so my feet will not touch the freezing floor in the morning.
And that is my 公寓 gōng yù (apartment) tour. Hope you liked it. A question I would be interested in hearing an answer from all of you is, where in the apartment/house that you live in do you spend most of your time? Except sleeping, I spend most of my time on the 沙发 (sofa).

But I will figure out what video I can post and if you wanna see that then go to my main channel of course, and then let me know if you like that type of video so I know what to make.
Hope you had a wonderful week and next week will be as good or better.
