Project Pan Update #1

Hi Everyone! 大家好！

It is time for a new post with more Beauty & Language with Linna. Are you excited? Because I know I am. This is an update from a video I posted in January. So I have a video for this update and a blog post, but for the first video there is no blog post due to not being into blogging at that time. I took a long break from blogging, which is why not all my videos have their own blog post, but now there will be blog posts for each video and I hope it will be helpful for you to understand the video.

So let´s get into it. First I want to mention all the project pan products I finished up these 2 months so you can see how long it took for me to finish these and what I replaced them with, and how it is going with the replaced product. I will have photos for you to see what I am mentioning to get the vision of what I am explaining. There is a long list so bear with me on this.

So I have a face palette I am trying to use up because it is 3 years old. I have 3 of the pans finished and currently using 3 pans as well. I have almost 4 finished pans, but I did not manage to finish it up before this video/blog post. That is the golden 高光 gāoguāng (highlight). Not much left, but hopefully it is gone by this month so I can put in another 高光 (highlight). The 散粉 sǎnfěn (powder) and 古铜粉 gǔtóngfěn (bronzer) looks barely used. The 散粉 (powder) is barely used because I did not finish the yellow 散粉 (powder) that long ago, and the 古铜粉 (bronzer) I do not put much on my face + I have a contour duo stick I use as well so the powder 古铜粉 (bronzer) is not much used. And also I have a Liquid Highlighter that I am trying to use up, but I do still use a fair amount of Powder Highlighter as well, which is why the NYX highlighter has such a pan.

I have more 散粉 (powders) that is emptied and replaced and also hit pan on the replaced product. So, I ruined my Loreal True Match powder (散粉) on accident, because I was trying to repress it and I added castor oil and now it is not usable so I am saying it is empty. I replaced it with my MAC Mineralize skin finish powder (散粉) and I hit pan on it this week, and I did not realise it was pan until I made the pan bigger. But there is pan and the dove is gone, as in the 散粉 (powder) is flat now and I will finish it during the next 2 months, maybe even during March. I have not figured out which 散粉 (powder) I wanna go for next. Maybe I´ll only stick with the NYX 散粉 (powder) from the face palette. But the pan is so tiny, so I do not know if I can use my big brush with it. We will see in the next update, but I do know what products I will go for next update (shhhh it´s a secret), so I´m excited for that.

Next up is 隔离霜 gé lí shuāng (primer) which feels nice to be able to say that I have 2 that I used up already. They are not full size 隔离霜 (primer), it is minis, but the Benefit pore fessional lasted me about 2 weeks I think and the too faced prime and poreless lasted around 2 weeks as well, which means the one I replaced with that one was used for 1 month and it is the Hourglass Veil primer (隔离霜), and I´m about half way done. So I guess the 隔离霜 (primer) lasts for about 2 months in total and it is a mini as well, and it is nice, but I do not wanna support Hourglass because of their behaviour towards people saying they need to be more inclusive with their complexion products, but I will use up the products I spent my money on since they already have my money so why not just use it up, you know.

It´s lip balm time! So the 润唇膏 rùnchúngāo (lip balm) I have been going at for 2 months and I managed to finish one of the 2 Zoella lip balms (润唇膏) that I have. I finished Show Sparkle and no, I do not like it at all. It had chunks of glitter in it and I could feel it on my lips which I really did not like, but the one I am using now is snow soft and it is so much better! So I will enjoy using this up more than the other one. And I will not repurchase these again.

Now it is time to complain a lot. It is 睫毛膏 jiémáogāo (mascara) time.. I will be complaining about the Maybelline Great Lash. It is not good. I thought it was ok in the beginning, but it just got worse and when I took out the stopper to get the rest of the product out, it just gave me bad lash-day everyday. Could not take it so I yeetet it away and started with the Benefit They´re Real one. That one I was not a big fan of in the beginning, but I have grown to like it, and doing 2 coats on my upper lashes makes it look very good. And it is a little dry now, so maybe there just is not much product left which means new mascara soon. The plan is to go in the order of when I opened my mascaras, so the next one is the Hourglass Caution Extreme Lash mini mascara.

I have 3 遮瑕膏 zhēxiágāo (concealer) I finished up. One of them I did maybe finish before first video, but I finished it this year, and then one I finished completely that I showed in the first project pan video, and then 1 that I threw away after one use because it spelled bad. So, let me tell you what product in the same order I explained them. 1. Maybelline Anti Age Erase Concealer, 2. Focalloure Big Conceal, 3. NYX HD studio finish concealer. 3 concealers in 2 months WHAT? well, one I was almost done with, one i had used for a while and was a little done with so I used it as a foundation instead, and one I used ones and decluttered because it smelled bad and I did not feel like getting an eye infection due to expired concealer under my eyes. I have 1 concealer left that was in the first 2021 project pan video. It is The Saem Concealer. It is tiny so I think I will finish it during this round of project pan, but we will see.

I have one 定型喷雾 dìngxíng pēnwù (Setting Spray) finished. I finished the Too Faced Hangover 3 in 1 Setting Spray Mini. I used it up in less than a month and it is not bad. I am not a big fan of coconut smell, but it was not too strong for me so I will say it is good. It is a good product, but I do not think I will buy it again. Not sure yet, but for now I will not because I have a few I need to finish up. Right now I am using the Hourglass Veil Soft Focus Setting Spray. I think I am where the word "Veil" starts, but I cannot see through it so I do not know. That one is 120ml compared to the Too Faced one with only 30ml, so I will use this one up a lot slower than the Too Faced one. The Hourglass one is also good, but I do not wanna promote them, so I will just use it up and not buy it again (it is also around £50 which is too much for a 定型喷雾 (setting spray)).

So I started the project pan this year with the Etude House Drawing Eye Brow 眉膏 méigāo (brow product), and I still have not finished it. I used the Hourglass Brow pencil for like 4 days (5 days total use) this year and it is not worth £17-18. So I finished one brow product, but I still have 2 left. I also still have the NYX brow gel. I took out the stopper and now it is easier to use products, but I wonder if I can finish it the next 2 months since there is only product on the bottom of the tube. I cannot show how much is left, but not too much. I will use it up this year, that I am 110% sure of.

Last product I manage to finish up is my Soltan 防晒霜 fángshài shuāng (sunscreen). I did not feel like opening it and scraping out the rest since it is around 4 years old. Gross, I know, I am so sorry, but now it is done and gone. I have another sunscreen I use now when I remember, and it is a kids 防晒霜 (sunscreen) with spf 50 (I think), and it is nice so I will just put it on the days I remember to and when summer or warmer weather comes I will try to use it everyday.

That is all the products I have used up and replaced. Now I will very shortly show the products I did not finish, but replace and having in a "Shop my stash" kind of thing. And also products from my project pan in the same category.

Here is the 粉底 fěndǐ (foundation) I chose to switch to. I like the Rare beauty foundation, but I have so many new ones I wanna try, so now I am gonna use the NYX Total Control Drop Foundation. I found out that I will use it up this month because it has about 15-20 uses left. We will see if that is true and if I use it up before March is done I will be very happy, since it will be another product finished. I have used it a few days and I like it so I do not mind using it.

I had the NYX 眼影盘 yǎnyǐng pán (Eyeshadow palette) for a while, but it is too dark for me to try to use it more, so I switched it out with the ABH Modern Renaissance. I have not been using it much since I got it due to me trying to pan and finish up my Viva La Diva palette which has pretty good progress, but now I am putting the ABH palette in my "Shop my stash" for this month to play with it more. I also have the H&M trio I have been trying to use, but barely used it. I do have pan on one of the eyeshadows, but I hope I can finish it this year since it is as old as the Viva La Diva palette.

I have a few 嘴唇品 zuǐchún pǐn (lip products) I took out and switched because my preference for formula is different. I took out the liquid lipsticks from Pudaier and put in 3 Colourpop lippie stix and 3 lippie liners that would match + the lip primer (no photos of these). I bought a lipliner and lippie stix vault so I wanna get my moneys worth. I also added a MAC lipstick in COSMO, and 3 of the rêve lipsticks from Moonshot in the shades "601", "603", and "606". So I will use them in March and see how much I can use of them. I also have 4 lip products in my project pan. A 润唇膏 rùnchúngāo (lip balm) which is the second Zoella 润唇膏 (lip balm), which I mentioned earlier. I have a tinted 润唇膏 (lipbalm) which is Maybelline babylips in cherry me. Very old so I need to finish it this year. Hopefully it happens. Last 2 products are lip liners from the Pudaier lip liner set. Nr. 07 is mostly used and Nr. 10 is the other (not as loved) one.

Now here will be the list of what is left that is in the project pan. There are 3 types of products left.

The pink is the blush

First I will show the 腮红 sāihóng (blush) that I have been using almost everyday since October 2020. I have a big pan on this blush and it is amazing! (I have currently repressed it). I can´t believe I will finish a blush this year. I wear a lot of blush when I do wear blush, so I think I can finish this before summer is done at least. So since I started my Project Pan with that blush since October 2020, it will be about 1 year with using it until I finish it. I am not shocked really, because blush is usually not much used each time doing our makeup, so blush is hard to finish up.

This product gives me anxiety because I cannot see how much is left, but I keep using it everyday I wear makeup (which is 90% at least, maybe 99%) and I do not feel like there is any progress in using it up. This NYX 眼底漆 yǎn dǐ qī (eye primer) is never ending. Hopefully I will finish it this year, but I do not know. If I do not finish it this year, I might declutter it because then it will be 4 years old and I do not know if I want to put that on my eyelids (maybe if it smells fine).

Last product are 眼线 yǎnxiàn (eyeliners). I have 2 liquid eyeliners and 2 pencil eyeliners. I think I have most progress with the liquid ones since I have used them more than the pencil ones, but I do not know how much is left. The pencil ones you can see how much is left, and since I put them on my water line, it takes forever to use up. I do not know when I will finish any of these, but I will keep them in my project pan until they are used up. I have a NYX black liquid eyeliner, a MACQUEEN New york brown eyeliner, a Lovely black pencil eyeliner, and a NYX Jumbo eye pencil in Milk.

So that is all the products I have in my Project Pan and in my Shop My Stash. A note I will give is that when I finish things like Blush, highlighter, and maybe also powder that is in my Project Pan, I will put new ones in my Shop My Stash instead so I can switch out once a month to play with more products. Because having them in my project pan makes me feel like I have to finish them up before getting another one, while if I have them in my shop my stash I can switch each month and then it will not feel like a chore.
